Why: You guys. This dress is perfect. It’s comfy, surprisingly slimming and NAUTICAL. I tried it on at Banana Republic last week as I considered using a birthday gift card on it, but the price much exceeded the gift card so I thought better of it. The friendly sales lady explained that sometimes the petites go on sale but the regulars don’t(does that seem strange to anyone else? we’re talking a $45 difference here!), so she had me try on a medium petite which was supposed to fit similar to a regular small. Well, it didn’t, so I bought a dark chambray and went on with my life.
I have this habit of texting Ross pictures from the dressing room when I’m trying things on — please tell me I’m not the only one who does this?! — and I’d done that with this dress. Apparently he liked it, because after I told him I didn’t buy it because of the price he scrounged online for coupons, found one that brought it down to the price of the petite and brought it home for me after work. Best. Husband. Ever. I’ve already worn it twice in a week!
